BOLDA® Column Shoe represents a new generation of high-load capacity column shoes by Peikko. It is characterized by its efficiency, compactness, and ETA-verified resistances, offering best-in-class performance.
The BOLDA® Column Shoe has been meticulously optimized, resulting in a more compact design compared to its competitors. This enables BOLDA® to be easily handled and installed. Notably, the compactness of the BOLDA® Column Shoe allows for up to a 24% reduction in column cross-sections when compared to the preceding PEC® Column Shoe. This reduction in cross-section size leads to a more efficient utilization of materials and enhances space utilization within buildings.
The ETA certification of the BOLDA® Column Shoe is based on comprehensive testing of bending and shear resistance, as well as fire resistance on full-scale test samples. As a result, the BOLDA® Column Shoe stands as the only ETA-assessed bolted column connection for high loads worldwide.
A design based on the Eurocodes for BOLDA® column connection is readily available in Peikko Designer® design suite. Peikko Designer® offers comprehensive design for various stages, including erection, final stages, and fire situations. Additionally, Peikko Designer® provides supplementary reinforcement considerations to ensure thorough and compliant designs.

Lengths of anchor bars are defined according to concrete grade C35/45.
